2020 has been a tough year all around. Layoffs, businesses closing, and plenty of bad news in the headlines. The economy has seen a shift with customer demand in many industries. Many businesses are bringing their manufacturing back into the United States, which means that skilled employees are needed to increase capacity and output. With that trend, SEA-LECT Plastics is hiring talented and dedicated employees looking for a career in a fast-paced and growing mid-sized manufacturer in the Pacific-Northwest.
Ready for a career change?

What if you don’t have the perfect skill set needed for plastic injection molding, but are motivated and willing to learn? Don’t worry. We will train you. We offer four different apprenticeship programs; Mold Maker, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Plastics Process Technician and especially the Youth Apprentice. These programs are administered by AJAC.
SEA-LECT Plastics joined the Washington State Training Program, due to the shortage of skilled workers in the Mold Making Trade. As more people retire, the shortage trend is growing. In order to address this issue, in 2008 the Washington State Legislature allocated funding to create an apprenticeship program with multiple occupations in order to develop workers for the aerospace (and other) industries. We support the program and also help mentor other businesses through the program and its benefits.
To help our employees go from minimal injection molding experience to being accomplished, scientific molders, we use a blended learning model. Our model incorporates interactive on-line training, injection molding machine simulator lessons, and hands-on instruction. It’s perfect for getting you up-to-speed quickly for your new career.
If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for your next step, we’d love to learn more about you! If you are a plastic injection professional or are just starting out and feel you are a good fit, consider joining us in one of the most scenic areas of the country.
