Rugged. Innovative. Two words that define the future of the outdoor recreation industry. When you think of an outdoor setting, you can imagine a harsh environment with a tough customer. What was good enough yesterday, won’t be good enough for tomorrow. Products need to be tough and innovative to continually better the experience and durability for the end user.
Plastic injection molding has countless applications and can be done at a lower cost than other processes and materials. We use a 3-D modeling software to digitally design to your exact specifications and then can share that design with you via free viewing software. Revisions can be made, then a simple rapid prototype can be made within two to three days. From the concept, revisions, and rapid prototypes, the finalized process and mold design can be completed with a quote ready to move forward in production.
SEA-LECT Plastics has been manufacturing boating products since its inception in 1987 under the SEA-DOG Brand. The majority of the marine hardware accessories can be found on small, medium and large motor boats, commercial vessels and any size sailboats around the world. Superior quality, competitive pricing, and mostly the 98% order fill rate have been the key to the continuous success.
SEA-LECT Plastics entered the paddle sports market in 2011 under the SEA-LECT Designs brand. Triggered by an idea from Eddyline Kayaks, SEA-LECT developed the now patented kayak foot brace and started selling right away to kayak manufacturers throughout North America and Europe. More products followed year after year true to the SEA-LECT Designs mission of Engineering Innovations for Outdoor Enthusiast.
The next new break-through will come from the need for a better product. More rugged, more durable, or a different function. It may come from a partnering manufacturer, an internal employee, or an outdoor enthusiast that just wants a better product. No matter how the idea is generated, SEA-LECT wants to hear about it.
SEA-LECT’s experts aren’t just engineers and designers. They are also plastic injection molding experts. With 150 combined years of experience, they excel with engineered thermoplastics, fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, compostable, elastomers, and over molding with additional parts, foaming agents, and color concentrates. We’re also at the fore-front of bio-plastics and wood resins. We’re innovating the industry every day.
