Injection molding is just the beginning at SEA-LECT Plastics. We can design the molds, manufacture the parts, and then assemble it into your next product. We are a complete turnkey supplier, with the experience and capability to take your concept from napkin sketch to delivered product. These are the options we can offer to facilitate your next product from concept to customer shelves.
Product Assembly
Heat Staking
Heat staking is a simple option to connect two parts together without using fasteners. The parts are heated, then pressed to lock them permanently together. It’s a low cost option for a permanent solution.
Ultrasonic Welding
Ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations in a localized area to create a solid-state weld. There are no fasteners such as bolts or nails, soldering materials, or adhesives necessary to connect the materials together. This type of welding offer superior reliability and durability in the finished assemblies. We can create a welding station for each product or process needed that can be manual, semi-automated, or completely automated without human interaction.
Tapping/Drilling
If your product needs a fastening option other than sonic welding or heat staking, consider a tapping or drilling operation. This can also include an insert to offer a threaded connection for a replaceable or serviceable assembly.
Product Marking
SEA-LECT’s in-house graphics department can design marking specific to your project. Our expert team can manage the full printing process including pad printing or hot stamping. If your product needs private labeling or a custom logo, this is a way to make your product stand out from the rest.
Labeling
If you need one label, or multiples on every assembly, SEA-LECT Plastics can handle it. We offer multiple printing and labeling options including various sizes, colors, and applications that will make your product stand out from the competition.
Automated Assembly
If you need a large volume of products assembled, it may be a good option to create an automated assembly process that doesn’t need human involvement directly. Automation is an option that pays for itself over time and adds value through machine interaction. Automation can include part movement between work stations, fastening, welding, and kitting.
Semi-Automated Assembly
If you don’t have a large volume or product, or need a minimum amount of human work competed, a semi-automated assembly process may be the right choice. Semi-automated may offer a balance between lower volume workflow and cost impact to the final product.
Manual Assembly
Some products may only require a small volume at a specific frequency, or have intricate details that can’t be done with a simple machine. In those cases, we have world-class technicians that can manually assemble your product to your exact specifications. This method offers low cost investment with high quality results.
Kitting
Some products are best left to the consumer to assemble. In those cases, you want all components organized together with fasteners, everything labeled, and instructions of how to assemble the products. We can organize your kitted assemblies in specified packaging and ready for the consumer to put together.
Written Documentation
One advantage we offer is supplying written documentation of how to assemble the full product. This can include detailed instructions with torque specification, high resolution pictures, and step by step methods for your customers to easily make the final product.
Packaging
Our experienced staff will professionally pack your product according to your specifications. That can be as an individual product in one container, or bulk packing to reduce the overall packaging in a shipment. We are also able to palletize any of your large shipments for the extra convenience of handling before distributing to your end customer. Packaging material can include blister packs, plastic bags, vacuum sealing, and shrink wrapping. We offer the standard packaging you expect, and some you may not. We can do it all.
